We are currently recruiting for a full-time Medical Supply Technician at the Department of Veterans Affairs in Fresno, CA.
Key Responsibilities:The Medical Supply Technician will provide services onsite to the beneficiaries of the VA. They will provide sterile processing services necessary to perform onsite for reusable medical devices (RMD) in inpatient units, outpatient clinics, and community living centers to eligible beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs.
- Provide medical supply processing, medical supply storage, and distribution of consumable supplies, sterile supplies, and utilization of automated point-of-use systems in wards, clinics, and operating rooms.
- Manage inventory, including pulling, replenishing, monitoring stock levels (including expiration dates and critical supplies), and conducting daily inventory using barcoding.
- Distributing supplies based on requirements and delivering them in a timely manner.
- Providing information to customers and addressing any concerns.
- Must have a minimum of a high school diploma.
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of recent experience.
- The technician must be technically proficient in the skills necessary to fulfill the governments requirements, including the ability to speak, understand, read, and write English fluently.
