Summary

Transcribe medical reports to provide a permanent record of patient care applying knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to transcribe the dictation from physicians. Employee to work and communicate in cooperative and positive manner with management, medical staff and co-workers.

• Transcribes daily procedure reports using MD Reports software.
• Recognizing, interpreting, and evaluating discrepancies, inaccuracies in medical dictation, editing and revising without altering the actual meaning of medical dictation.
• Utilizing reference materials efficiently and appropriately to facilitate the accuracy of reports, or seek assistance to clarify.
• Completes daily reports by signing off or documenting as "Procedure Performed."
• Scans completed reports to billing office daily.
• Enter "EDGE" post-op/follow-up calls.
• Enter daily patient email addresses in Advantx
• Mail Referring Physician letters daily.
• Print patient Education Literature
• Operates telephone system including receiving incoming calls, taking messages or paging appropriate person.
• Recognizing and communicating any computer issues that interfere with job requirements immediately to management, charge nurse, business office manager and/or physician performing procedures.
• Other Duties and Responsibilities as assigned by Clinical Manager

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Communication Skills.
• Ability to effectively present information to patients, physicians, families and other employees of the facility
• Basic Math Skills
