Part-Time (0.4 FTE at 16 hrs/wk – Every Wednesday & 2 Tuesdays a month)

Travel to Fresno & Bakersfield required

Hiring Wage: $44-45/hr

• Assure non‑licensed staff are qualified in performing back office/lab skills and achieve core competency levels on an annual basis
• Provide input for the medical component of the non‑licensed staff performance reviews
• Oversee patient triage for medical problems and acute versus routine appointments for both reproductive health and primary care patients
• Work with Center Manager or designee to facilitate flow and triage
• Contribute to achieving health center productivity goals
• Demonstrate PPMM customer service standards

• Prepare recovery room for all in‑clinic abortion services
• Prepare pre‑operative medications
• Assess post‑operative patients for pain and bleeding control and early detection of complications
• Oversee HSS functions: vital signs, post‑operative instructions, education of patient identified birth control method
• Provide intraoperative sedation medication and patient monitoring
• Provide post‑operative medications
• Maintain and ensure emergency cart and equipment are stocked and current

• Follow standardized procedures for hormonal contraception, emergency contraception (EC), and STI screening visits
• Provide patient education, counseling, lab work and ultrasound for medication abortions
• Provide immunizations per approved guidelines and standardized procedures, such as HPV vaccination

• Accept and sign‑off GC/CT, Pap and other designated lab reports from clinician’s PAQ
• Evaluate and develop plan for follow‑up
• Refer Pap/other labs that are outside the scope of CFU RN to the health center’s clinicians
• Verify that all lab reports are handled appropriately and within the appropriate time frame

• Provide advice/triage services to both reproductive health and primary care patients
• Identify medical urgency and schedule appointments with the health center
• Answer all calls placed in queue by Response Center as outlined in the Triage Policy
• Respond to patient emails through the Patient Portal in HER

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Current Nevada State RN license
• Current California State RN license highly preferred in addition to Nevada State RN license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certificate

• Current experience using computer and mouse
• Experience using Microsoft Windows based program and willingness to learn new computer skills
• Willingness to work flexible hours and locations
• Strong customer service orientation
• Ability to communicate effectively
