Overview
Kings View is a nonprofit leader in providing behavioral health services to the underserved community, currently seeking a driven Private Practice Licensed Clinician. The role will provide comprehensive mental health services in Fresno, CA, and serve as an effective liaison between KV and community partners.
Responsibilities- Make comprehensive mental health assessments to identify presenting problems, strengths, and areas for growth.
- Utilize standardized assessment tools and clinical interviews to gather relevant information.
- Collaborate with clients to establish realistic treatment goals and objectives.
- Design, implement, and periodically review individualized treatment plans to ensure effectiveness.
- Provide evidence‑based individual, couples, family, children, or group therapy.
- Create a safe and supportive therapeutic environment conducive to positive change.
- Offer psychoeducation to clients and families as appropriate.
- Participate in standby and on‑call crisis coverage as assigned.
- Offer telehealth services in office or client homes when needed.
- Coordinate with external agencies to facilitate additional support services when necessary.
- Establish collaborative relationships with community organizations to enhance client care options.
- Consult with other mental health professionals to ensure cohesive approaches to client care.
- Participate in case reviews and team meetings to discuss complex cases.
- Complete all documentation within 72 hours of service in the Credible EHR.
- Maintain accurate, adequate, and HIPAA‑compliant mental health records throughout treatment.
- Follow all Kings View policies, administrative directives, and relevant county, state, and federal regulations.
- Adhere to the code of conduct, compliance program requirements, and performance obligations.
- Complete biannual license renewal training.
- Maintain an active and current license with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
- Maintain professional liability insurance if required.
- Comply with mandated reporter requirements.
- Maintain a HIPAA‑compliant workspace at all times.
- Respond appropriately to crises involving persons with SMI, including using crisis intervention techniques and notifying supervisors.
- Master’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Sciences, or related field.
- Professional certification as LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, or a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
- Valid California license: LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, or PsyD.
- Unrestricted Class C driving license.
- Experience working with adult, child, and adolescent populations.
- Experience delivering psychotherapy services to individuals with various mental health concerns.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills to manage therapy sessions and documentation.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, empathetic, compassionate, and non‑judgmental.
- Patience, perseverance, team‑player, flexibility.
- Ability to build rapport and establish a therapeutic connection with clients.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Ability to supervise associates, if required.
- Experience in independent private counseling.
