The 56,000 square-foot emergency department is one of the largest and busiest in California!
We have an 84-bed Level III NICU and plan to significantly expand pediatric specialty care. Our hospital serves 2.5 million people within 9 counties, averaging a daily census of 641 patients. We're affiliated with UCSF as a teaching facility; trained 3,000 Medical Doctor's to date plus continuous invests in research and training grants.
Assists the Manager in planning, organizing, and directing of Social Work services. This position supervises the social workers within the Case Management/Social Work Department and is responsible for the day-to-day patient care operations as well as team support. Responsible for conflict management, negotiation, team building, communication, budget administration, and coaching/mentoring others. Directs patient assignments, staff scheduling, evaluations, patient flow, and assisting in meeting financial targets by effectively assisting in managing utilization, productivity, personnel, and supplies.
AccountabilitiesEducation
- Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) required
Experience
- 3 years of relevant experience in the healthcare industry or healthcare setting required
- 1 year of experience in a supervisory role preferred
- LCSW - State of California Licensed Clinical Social Worker required
- BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
- FCDBH-5150 - Fresno County 5150 Cert required within 6 months of hire or transfer into position
- CCSP - State of California Children's Services Paneling required within 6 months of hire or transfer into position
