Join our Radiation Therapy team at cCARE Fresno, CA. This full‑time position offers competitive pay ranging from $62.00 to $71.68 per hour, a $5,000 sign‑on bonus, and a 4/10 work schedule.
OverviewAs a Radiation Therapist, you’ll deliver compassionate, patient‑centered care, ensuring safe and effective radiation therapy using linear accelerator machines. You’ll administer prescribed doses, maintain accurate documentation, and support clinical decision‑making to safeguard patient health.
Responsibilities- Administer radiation therapy as prescribed by the physician.
- Verify prescribed treatment dose, fields, and angles before each session.
- Ensure placement of protective devices to shield healthy tissue.
- Simulate patients using a simulator, CT scanner, or other devices to localize treatment areas.
- Display professional conduct essential to radiation oncology patients.
- Maintain accurate and detailed treatment chart documentation.
- Observe clinical progress, use decision‑making skills to recognize and report complications.
- Adhere to radiation safety procedures and conduct machine safety checks.
- Work closely with the Radiation Oncologist and therapy team to prepare treatment plans.
- ARRT Board eligible.
- Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy program.
- Certification in Radiation Therapy Technology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- 2+ years of experience in a Radiation Therapist role.
