Job Description And Duties

Does a role that includes conducting statewide training and providing information to licensed firearm dealers interest you? If so, we hope you consider applying for a Field Representative position within our Bureau of Firearms.
Responsibilities- Independently plans, schedules, conducts statewide inspections of California licensed firearm dealers to ensure compliance with state firearm laws and regulations.
- Communicates with Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and Explosives investigators regarding inspection findings or referrals.
- Provides training to various stakeholders regarding reporting, California firearm laws and regulations, and other firearm related responsibilities.
- Conducts inspections of licensed firearm dealers, ammunition vendors, manufacturers, and gun show producers to verify compliance with state gun show, firearm, and ammunition laws and regulations.
- A willingness to travel via airplane and/or automobile for up to two weeks per month and occasionally work odd shifts such as evenings, weekends, and nights.
