Commensurate with education and experience the anticipated hiring range is $7,500-$7,800 per month for Assistant Professor (12 monthly payments per year). Salary placement is dependent on the appointee's qualifications and experience. About the College, Department, and Program:
Fresno State has offered engineering courses since 1922. The Lyles College of Engineering currently offers seven undergraduate degree programs and five graduate degree programs and/or options. The Geomatics Engineering program at Fresno State is the first ABET accredited program in the nation. It is the only standalone 4-year program in the state of California. The department of Civil and Geomatics Engineering currently has seventeen (17) tenured/tenure track faculty and enrollment of 508 students.
The department offers ABET accredited BS degrees in Civil Engineering, and Geomatics Engineering, and MS degrees in Civil Engineering and a Survey Engineering minor. Geomatics Engineering Faculty have a wide range of experience covering broad areas of land surveying, remote sensing, photogrammetry, geodesy, and geographic information systems. The Geomatics Engineering Program has a close relationship with industry vendors which have provided and will provide all necessary equipment for the teaching of and success of the students.
Faculty research is funded by federal, state and regional agencies and industry. Graduates of the department are in high demand. The department has established strong relationships with a variety of industry partners and receives strong support from the regional industry.
