Instructional Student Assistant (ISA) for the College of Social Science Position Overview
The Department of History is seeking Instructional Student Assistant (ISA) applicants to assist a faculty member in administering and maintaining their class. The department reserves the right to choose the most qualified candidate for each position and to assign Instructional Student Assistant to the courses that are appropriate for the department program and curriculum in any given semester. Due to staff and curriculum changes, courses offered may vary, and no guarantee of employment from semester to semester can be made.

0-20 hours per week.
Job Duties- Attend course lectures
- Preparation
- Canvas management
- Proctor examinations
- Perform individual and/or group tracking
- Provide research assistance
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Minimum GPA 3.0
- Demonstrated commitment to working effectively with faculty, staff and students from diverse ethnic, cultural and socioeconomic background
- Ability and willingness to work with computers
- Communication skills appropriate to the instructional setting
- Expertise in a closely related discipline

- Curriculum Vitae or résumé. The CV should contain contact information, employment and educational history, skills such as computer programming, familiarity with commonly used computer programs, internships, awards, volunteer service, training and any other experience relevant to education.
- Current unofficial transcripts from your undergraduate and graduate education. If you have attended more than one institution, combine the transcripts into one document.
- List of three references. Provide first name, last name, type of reference, organization, position title, phone number, and e‑mail address for each.

- Salary:
Each department has different salary scales. Salary range for Instructional Student Assistants starts at $17.86 per hour. - Assignments:
Assignments are made by Department Chair or Program Coordinator after consultation with the candidate. - Duties Form: A Duties Form (see Appendix E of the CBA) will be completed between the Department and Academic Student Employee to substantiate the jobs included for the ISA position.
- Instructional Student Assistant positions are for matriculated students at Fresno State.
- Students are limited to 20‑hours of part‑time work on campus.
The person holding this position is considered a "limited reporter" under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083 Revised July 21, 2017 as a condition of employment.
