• Teaching agriculture mechanics classes such as introduction to agricultural mechanics, introduction to agricultural welding, small gasoline and diesel engines, electrical and hydraulics fundamentals, agricultural welding fabrication, and more;
• Assisting in the operation of the Mechanized Agriculture budget, facilities and programs;
• Developing a Mechanized Agriculture advisory committee and coordinate advisory committee meetings at least twice a year;
• Providing advice and mentorship for students within the department;
• Participating in recruitment activities with high school agricultural programs such as FFA competitive events and student leadership activities;
• Participating in Program Review and Student Learning Outcome development and assessment to improve student learning;
• Providing leadership in the development and implementation of new curriculum and academic programs that are in demand;
• Staying current in the discipline and participating in appropriate professional development activities;
• Increasing enrollment and completion, assisting students in job placement, and follow-up with students in work experience and internship/externship opportunities;
• Serving on and attending department, college, and district committees;
• Assisting with the development and management of local, state and federal grants;
• Teaching assignments in a variety of instructional settings and times, including evening and/or weekends, online or off-campus and large group instruction classes as needed; and
• Otherwise fulfilling all of the duties and responsibilities of instructors as required by Administrative Regulation 7122 Duties and Responsibilities of Instructors.

• All candidates must have evidence of responsiveness to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, as these factors relate to the need for equity-minded practice within the classroom;
• Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of full-time equivalent professional experience; or
• Associate degree and six (6) years of full-time equivalent professional experience; or
• A valid California Community College Credential; or
• The equivalent education and/or…
