Qualifications
- A Clear/Preliminary Credential in the subject matter of:
Single Subject or Multiple Subject credential with ELA Authorization, or a District Intern Permit, Short Term Staff Permit or Provisional Permit to teach (must have 18 subject units in the subject matter for a Short‑Term Staff Permit or Provisional Permit). - Must have a B.A., B.S., or A.A. Degree (when applicable). If you have a Master’s Degree starting wages are: $65,000 with one year experience, $68,250 with two years of experience (student teaching does not count as experience).
- Valid Driver’s License and insurance.
- Provide instruction to at‑risk students.
- Teach content and skills in the assigned subject matter.
- Develop and implement lesson plans for multi‑subject and/or single subject curriculum.
- Improve academic skills and provide career and vocational awareness/education.
- Instruct students in citizenship and basic communication skills.
- Work effectively with multicultural/diverse groups and establish positive relationships with students.
- Possess knowledge of concepts in computers in an instructional environment.
- Utilize cooperative group methods in instruction.
