25-26 AY Temporary Faculty Pool (Lecturer) - Construction Management
The Department of Construction Management is a team of interdisciplinary faculty and staff committed to educating future professionals in the construction industry. The Construction Management Department offers a Major in Construction Management;
Minor in Construction Management;
Major in Architectural Studies;
Master of Science in Construction Management; and a Professional Development Program. The temporary faculty pool provides opportunities to teach a broad range of construction management courses at both graduate and undergraduate levels.
- Teach a broad range of construction management courses at undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Provide instruction in areas such as building materials and methods, construction graphics, cost estimating, planning and scheduling, construction safety, design-build project delivery, project controls, and preconstruction services.
- Engage in student advising and supervision; work with a diverse student and faculty community.
- Prepare, deliver, proctor, and grade lectures, office hours, assignments, quizzes, projects, and exams as applicable; conduct classes as scheduled in the assigned mode (asynchronous, synchronous, in-person, or hybrid).
Education:
An earned Master’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field; or a Master of Business Administration with a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or Engineering.
Experience:
Demonstrated commitment to excellence and evidence of professional experience; experience in both design and construction development and teaching related topics.
Preferred Qualifications
Successful graduate-level teaching experience and demonstrated teaching in construction management at the undergraduate level; expertise in design-build and collaborative project delivery methods; knowledge of generative design, lean construction, BIM, robotics and automation, and data sciences in construction are encouraged.

2. Appointment is contingent upon budget and enrollment and subject to the order of assignment provisions in the collective bargaining agreement. Appointees must demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States (Fresno State is not a sponsoring agency for Temporary Faculty positions).
Compensation is commensurate with qualifications and experience within the CSU Salary Schedule (Class Code = 2358 for Academic Year Lecturers).Application Procedures
