Amergis is seeking a dedicated Mild/Moderate Special Education Teacher to support students at a charter school in Fresno. This role follows a push-in/pull-out model rather than being assigned to a designated classroom. The teacher will provide specialized support across settings, ensuring individualized instruction and services are delivered effectively.
ResponsibilitiesProvide direct instruction and support to students with mild/moderate disabilities.
Collaborate with general education teachers to implement push-in/pull-out services.
Manage a caseload of approximately 17–22 students.
Develop and implement IEPs in compliance with state and district guidelines.
Maintain accurate documentation and progress monitoring.
Communicate regularly with families, staff, and administrators to support student success.
Preferred:
Fully credentialed Mild/Moderate SPED Teacher.Considered:
Preliminary credential holders with strong qualifications.Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Ability to adapt to diverse student needs and environments.
Commitment to fostering inclusive and supportive learning environments.
Candidates should be prepared for a thorough interview process, which includes:
Interview with the SPED Director and Superintendent.
Four‑hour shadowing interview to observe and engage in the school environment.
Possible final panel interview (if needed).
