Position OverviewThe Psychology department offers rigorous undergraduate and graduate programs focused on the scientific study of human behavior and consciousness.
Position SummaryApplicants may teach courses in one or more of the following subdisciplines (please specify in your cover letter):
- Biological Bases of Behavior and Cognition
- Quantitative Methods and Research Design
- Applied Behavior Analysis
- Clinical Psychology
- Developmental Psychology
- Social and Personality Psychology
- School Psychology
- Miscellaneous Psychology courses
Implement university policies, prepare and deliver lectures, conduct assessments, and meet scheduled classes in various formats (in-person, online, hybrid).
Conditional AppointmentAppointments depend on budget, enrollment, and collective bargaining rules. Applicants must demonstrate eligibility to work in the U.S.
CompensationSalary is based on qualifications and experience, within the CSU salary schedule. For Master’s degree holders, the range is $5,507-6,677/month full-time.
Semester DetailsThe pool is open continuously; positions are filled as needed. Appointments are temporary and may require short-notice availability. The pool remains active for two academic terms.
- Fall 2025:
August 18 – December 22, 2025 - Spring 2026:
January 15 – May 22, 2026
- Master’s degree in Psychology or related field from an accredited institution
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity and teaching excellence
- PhD in Psychology or related field
- Experience in a related subdiscipline and scholarly publications
