Responsibilities- Teaching a part-time schedule of Office Technology courses as assigned.
- Using a variety of pedagogies and instructional delivery systems, including technology-enabled approaches for face-to-face, online, and/or hybrid formats.
- Communicating effectively with students, faculty and staff.
- Using effective teaching methods appropriate to the subject matter and adhering to the institutionally approved curriculum outlines of record.
- Evaluating student progress through tests, assignments, and other assessments in line with course objectives.
- Providing course syllabi to students.
- Maintaining classroom records in accordance with District Policy.
- Submitting required student grading and evaluation reports in a timely manner.
- Teaching in a variety of instructional settings and times, including classes as needed.
- Fulfilling duties and responsibilities of instructors as required by Administrative Regulation 7122 and other duties as assigned.
All candidates must demonstrate responsiveness to and understanding of the diverse backgrounds of community college students and be committed to equity-minded practice in the classroom.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher and two years of directly related professional experience; or
- Associate degree and six years of directly related professional experience; or
- A valid California Community College Credential; or
- The equivalent education and/or experience (requires an equivalency).

- Experience incorporating diversity, equity, and inclusion into responsibilities.
- Recent experience working with racially minoritized students and understanding of historical patterns of exclusion in higher education.
- Willingness to examine and improve instructional practices to engage racially minoritized students.
- Experience working with diverse student populations and with technology-enhanced instruction.
- Ability to collaborate with faculty and staff to enhance instruction, curriculum, and student success.
- Experience with current assessment methods and materials; knowledge of the community college mission and goals.
- Newly hired part-time faculty will be placed on step one of the Part-Time Faculty Salary Schedule.
- Salary placements based on education and experience as outlined in the Part-Time Faculty Salary Classifications.
- Sick leave accrual is based on assignment hours.

Located in California, Madera Community College (the fourth college in State Center Community College District) offers transfer/general education, occupational and developmental programs. The college aims to support student success and guided pathways to help students earn certificates, degrees, or transfer to four-year institutions. The college also includes Madera Community College at Oakhurst, a satellite campus serving several communities and planning a permanent campus.
