Description=Valley Women's Healthcare Medicalin California is seeking a Board Certified Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician to join their dynamic team as an Obstetrics Hospitalist. This direct-hire opportunity offers the chance to provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care in a supportive Level 2 NICU hospital environment, utilizing advanced EPIC electronic medical records and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team dedicated to exceptional patient outcomes.
Job Description:
The position is a direct-hire opportunity to provide expert inpatient obstetrical care in a busy hospital with a Level 2 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
The physician will join a collaborative hospital environment committed to delivering high-quality obstetrical care.
The physician will care for approximately thirteen to fourteen patients daily in inpatient, outpatient, rounds, and clinic settings.
The electronic medical record system used is EPIC for patient documentation and care management.
The schedule consists of five to six twenty-four-hour shifts per month, each shift running from seven in the morning to seven the following morning.
Weekend shifts are required and follow the same twenty-four-hour schedule as weekdays.
There are no on-call responsibilities associated with this position.
Avg 4-5 deliveries per 24-hour period, majority are vaginal deliveries, 25% C-sections
MUST have delivery experience
Schedule typically 7a - 7aHoliday coverage allows for a holiday pay premium
Candidates must be Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and have current Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, and Drug Enforcement Administration licenses before starting.
Candidates must hold the appropriate state medical license or have an active application in progress for licensure prior to starting the position.
COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory for all candidates as per facility requirements.
Fellowship completion is not required.
Preferred candidates will have one to five years of relevant practice experience, though this is not strictly required.
The facility offers a competitive salary that will be discussed during the interview and is based on experience and training.
Initial and secondary interviews will be conducted virtually using video conferencing platforms such as Teams or Zoom.
New graduates, those who are truly board eligible but not yet certified, and candidates with lapsed board certification are not eligible for consideration.
Candidates with a history of malpractice or licensing issues may be considered, but such cases will be reviewed on an individual basis with limitations applied.
Candidates who wish to commute more than one hour or combine this position with another job will not be accepted.
The position is open to candidates requiring visa sponsorship, including H1B and J1 visas.
The facility also accepts candidates interested in working as 1099 independent contractors.
