California Correctional Health Care Services – Pleasant Valley State Prison, Coalinga, CA.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver preventive and restorative dental care to incarcerated patients under the supervision of the Supervising Dentist, Correctional Facility (CF).
  • Participate in performance management activities to continually improve the Dental Program.
  • Delegate appropriate levels of responsibility to the Supervising Dental Assistant, Dental Assistant, and Dental Hygienist and maintain quality control over their work.
  • Maintain order, supervise the conduct of the incarcerated, and protect and preserve the safety of persons and property.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Possession of the legal requirements for the practice of dentistry in California as determined by the California Board of Dental Examiners.
  • Graduation from an approved dental school; registration as a senior in a recognized institution will admit an applicant to the examination, but evidence of graduation must be produced before appointment.
