JOB TITLE:
Service Technician

SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing customer vehicles.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Performs maintenance and repair on customer vehicles.
* Identifies problems with vehicles uses the diagnostic equipment.
* Explains automotive repairs and issues and provides great customer service.
* Plans repair procedures uses charts manuals and experience.
* Tests the functionality of parts and systems.
* Performs basic auto care and maintenance tasks such as oil changes, fluid level checks, and tire rotation.
* Repairs and replaces brake pads, wheel bearings, sensors and other parts.
* Performs routine maintenance and general mechanic work on vehicles.
* Prepares to get additional certification as needed.
* Learns with hands-on training.
* Helps keep repair shop clean and organized.
* Keeps a professional appearance.
* Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Certificates, licenses and registrations required:
* Valid Driver's License.
* ASE Certifications.
* Computer skills required:
Reynolds and Reynolds DMS, Google Workplace (GMAIL, Docs, Sheets, Drive, Meet)
* Other skills required:
* Automotive and engine repair experience or auto mechanic training required.
* Ability to maintain a professional appearance and provide friendly customer service.
* Must read, interpret and transcribe data in order to maintain accurate records.
* Perform routine maintenance and other tasks in a fast-paced environment.

* Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
* Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
