California State University, Fresno invites applications for the position of Executive Assistant to the Vice President for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer (CIO). This role provides strategic executive and administrative support for the IT Division.
Compensation and BenefitsAnticipated Hiring Salary Range: $5,797 - $5,913 per month
Full CSU Classification Salary Range: $5,797 - $8,445 per month
This is a full‑time, probationary, exempt position. Eligible employees participate in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS), receive medical, dental, and vision plans, sick and vacation time, 15 paid holidays, and a fee‑waiver education program.
Job SummaryThe Executive Assistant serves as a strategic partner, coordinating the Office of the Vice President for Information Technology and CIO. Responsibilities include managing complex administrative, operational, and project activities, ensuring alignment with institutional goals, making sound decisions, and implementing programs and policies.
Additionally, the incumbent acts as the Strategic IT Communications Lead, developing and delivering consistent messaging to promote IT initiatives across the university.

- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Four years of relevant experience.
- Additional experience may substitute for required education on a year‑for‑year basis; an advanced degree may substitute for experience similarly.

Advanced degree in business administration, management, communications, information technology, or related field. - Preferred:
Experience in higher education administration within the California State University system. - Preferred:

Technology Services provides technology‑based planning, resources, and services to support teaching, learning, and campus operations.
