JOB DESCRIPTION
SUMMARYUnderminimalsupervisionof the Accounting
Manager,Accountant
IIIisresponsibleforthemoredifficult and complex day-to-day accounting and operations duties, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and financial integrity.
This role will be responsible for supervising the Accounts Payable process, preparing financial statements,maintainingthegeneralledger,trainingjunioraccountingstaff,conductingfinancialanalysis, assistingwiththeannualauditandbudgetdevelopment,andcarryingoutotherassigned responsibilities.

Assistcolleagueswithaccounting-related inquiries.
Accounts PayableSupervise the Accounts Payableprocesswhichincludesmaintainingthe Accounts Payablelog ,vendorrecords, and issuing annual 1099s.
Accounting and Record KeepingMaintainaccurateandup-to-datefinancialrecordsbyrecordingdailytransactions.
Thiswillincludethereview andpostingofjournal entries andmaintainingall general ledger entries to ensure correctcostallocations by department and project.
Tracegeneralledgeractivitytosupportingdocumentationand identifyirregularities.
Firstlevelapproveroftransactionstoensurecompliancewithcontrolprocedures.
Performreconciliationofbankaccountsandbalancesheetaccounts.
Leadingoutthe Credit Cardreconciliation process and review.
Prepareandreviewauditschedulesandspecialreports,as assigned.
Financial ReportingReviewandcompiledataintofinancialreports.
Prepareandsubmitreportsforassigneddutiesandcommunicate status to appropriate parties as required. Assist in developing departmental budgets.
Ensureaccuracyofbudgetreports.
Assistinthecompletionofthemonth-endcloseandpreparefinancialstatementsandreports,as assigned. Maintain fixed asset schedule and generate depreciation entries.
Department OversiteTrainandmentorsmembersofthefinanceteamtoachievedepartmentobjectivesand/orgoals.
Prepare and approve wire transfers and ACHs, as assigned.
Analyzecurrentfinancialoperationstoidentifyareastoimproveefficiencies.
Leadouttheoptimizationof software and programs.
Travelsforagencybusinessusingreliabletransportation. Maintains regular attendance and punctuality.
Workseveningsandweekendsasrequired. Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:
Bachelor’sdegreein
Accounting,Finance,orrelatedfieldrequired.
Additionalrelevantworkexperiencemay substitute required education on a year-by-year basis.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimumoffive(5) yearsofexperiencein Accounting/Finance.
OTHER
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledgeoffinancialandaccountingprinciplesandpractices(withpreferenceingrantreportingand related governmental regulations) and procedures.
Knowledge of Non-Profit and CDFI industry preferred.
Strongorganizationskillsandtheabilitytoprioritizetasks,managerdeadlines,andmaintainrecords. Significant level of trustand diplomacy is required, in addition to normalcourtesy and tact.
Experience in Blackbaud Accountingsoftwarepreferred . Strong customer service skills.
Displaysproblem-solvingskillsandattentiontodi. Demonstrated high level of organizational skills.
Abilitytoworkonmultipleprojectssimultaneously,managingtimeandresourcestoensureworkis completed efficiently and within established time frames.
Abilitytoestablishandmaintain effectiveworkingrelationshipsbetweendepartments,outsideaffiliated professionals, and business organizations.
Ability to develop teamwork cohesion with co-workers on related units.
