Bookkeeper

Description We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join a growing property management company on a contract basis. Based in Fresno, California, this part-time role will focus on maintaining financial records and ensuring the accuracy of daily accounting operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and has a background in property management.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including posting rental income and managing payment transactions.

- Maintain accurate financial ledgers, reconcile accounts, and ensure proper general ledger coding.

- Prepare and execute owner payouts in a timely and accurate manner.

- Monitor financial transactions and ensure all data is entered correctly into property management software (Buildium).

- Assist with month-end closing procedures and provide support for financial reporting as required.

- Collaborate with property management staff and leadership to organize and maintain financial records.

- Identify areas for improvement in accounting processes and recommend solutions.

- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies during financial operations. Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles.

- Familiarity with property management operations and financial practices is preferred.

- Proficiency in Buildium or comparable property management software.

- Solid knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functionalities.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently while managing part-time hours effectively.

- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members.

- Experience with Quick Books or other accounting software is a plus.
