Accounting Analyst

Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Analyst to join our team in Fresno, California. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a key role in managing and analyzing financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and grant accounting within a non-profit setting.

Responsibilities:

- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.

- Prepare and review billing statements, maintaining compliance with organizational guidelines.

- Reconcile payroll accounts and other financial records to ensure accuracy and completeness.

- Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

- Handle grant accounting and administration, including tracking expenditures and preparing reports.

- Process purchase orders and journal entries with precision and attention to detail.

- Monitor and analyze financial data to support decision-making and reporting.

- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless financial operations.

- Maintain compliance with organizational policies and accounting standards.

- Assist in preparing financial reports and audits as needed.

Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field, demonstrating attention to detail.

- Proficiency in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

- Strong knowledge of billing functions and account reconciliation.

- Experience with grant accounting and administration.

- Familiarity with non-profit accounting principles and practices.

- Ability to process journal entries and purchase orders accurately.

- Skilled in reconciling payroll and other financial accounts.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
