Tax Staff - Public

We are looking for a dedicated Tax Staff member to join our team in Fresno, California. Responsibilities:

- Prepare a variety of tax returns, including individual, corporate, partnership, and estate tax filings.

- Perform bookkeeping tasks, account reconciliations, and maintain accurate financial records.

- Handle fixed asset and depreciation schedules as part of tax preparation processes.

- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and compilations for clients.

- Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations while identifying potential tax-saving opportunities.

- Manage steady production of tax-related tasks in a busy office environment.

- Utilize tax preparation software, such as Ultra Tax, for accurate and efficient tax filings.

- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of projects.

Requirements - Minimum of two years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on tax.

- Completion of at least two full tax seasons, including individual and business tax preparation.

- Solid understanding of accounting principles, including debits, credits, and balance sheet work.

- Proficiency in preparing various tax returns, such as individual, corporate, partnership, and estate.

- Familiarity with financial statement preparation and compilation processes.

- Ability to handle consistent production workloads with attention to detail and accuracy.

- Experience with tax preparation software, such as Ultra Tax, is a plus, but not required.

- Strong commitment to long-term growth within a collaborative team environment.
