Position:
Human Resources Manager

The Human Resources Manager has overall plant/site responsibility for the HR function as it relates to the delivery and execution of Human Resources standards and guidelines as defined by the Subject Matter Experts (SME or Centers of Excellence COE). Locally, they identify programs and solutions that enable the company to exceed its business objectives through teammate engagement. The role requires a combination of strategic and hands‑on/tactical HR expertise and focuses on promoting fair, equitable, effective, and leading‑edge human resources solutions, benefits, administration programs, policies and best‑practice systems.

Responsibilities

Leadership
  • Key member of the Plant Management Team, contributing at an operational level by providing value in all areas of Human Resources
  • Supports business strategy and objectives through the execution of end‑to‑end HR solutions and delivery of corporate initiatives ensuring a productive working environment
  • Participates fully on the plant/site leadership team and acts as an advisor to the Plant Manager
  • Stays current with all applicable laws and regulations and enforces all established Company policies and procedures
  • Leads, coaches, and interprets complex employee relations issues to develop problem‑resolution solutions and improve teammate performance
  • Participates in Local Human Resources community to network and benchmark best labor/employment practices and understand local issues and trends
  • Partners with the business to achieve its objectives by identifying HR and organizational development issues and leading their analysis and diagnosis
  • Designs and reinforces site‑specific HR policies, standards, and procedures considering visions, missions, values, legislative requirements and industry best practices, notifying plant manager and functional manager of non‑compliance
  • Tracks and provides analysis and subsequent improvement plans with respect to HR metrics and KPIs
Labor Management & Employee Relations
  • Provides responsible leadership to create a labor/management environment that promotes an effective constructive working relationship
  • Completes Mandate process and recommends Union Contract renewals (where applicable)
  • Represents management in Employee/Labor relations including negotiation, interpretation and administration of collective bargaining agreements
  • Applies labor management practices/agreements consistently and fairly to resolve issues and problems through workable solutions in a timely manner
Health, Safety & Environment
  • Implements and maintains all requirements for the HS&E Standards assigned to the site
