Today we are hiring a Radiation Therapist Technician in Fremont, OH. Sign-on Bonus:
Eligible external candidates may qualify for a sign-on bonus with a two-year employment commitment to the position.
As a Radiation Therapist Technician, you will provide prescribed radiation therapy to patients of all age groups.
You will deliver the doses of radiation therapy, position patients, explain the procedure, and answer any questions.
You will work with physicists, dosimetrists, nursing staff and physicians during treatment to ensure the best patient care. You will also coordinate support services like social work and dietary.

Accountabilities- Age-Appropriate Care:
Applies the necessary knowledge and skills to provide care to patients across all age groups (infant, pediatric, adult, and geriatric).
- Patient Sensitivity and Competence:
Demonstrates sensitivity to the physical, emotional, and socio-psychological needs of all patients while delivering care.
- Radiation Therapy Administration:
Delivers prescribed doses of radiation therapy, positions patients, answers questions, and explains procedures as needed.
- Collaboration and Coordination:
Works with physicists, dosimetrists, nursing staff, and physicians during treatment, coordinating support services like social work and dietary.
- Safety and Quality Assurance:
Maintains department policies, quality assurance programs, and safety standards, and participates in process improvement efforts.
- Education:
Associate degree in Radiation Therapy
- License:
Ohio Radiologic License required to work in Ohio
- Certification: ARRT, CPR
- Education:
Bachelors of Radiation Therapy
- Skills:
Knowledge of Varian equipment/software, EPIC
- Years of
Experience:
1+ year as a working RT;
Simulation experience.

- Works well with the interdisciplinary care team
- Maintains high safety, quality, and patient-care standards
- Experience with:
- Varian True Beam, 6-DoF couch
- Aria, Eclipse with Radformation
- SBRT/SRS and in-house simulation
- Varian HDR brachytherapy (preferred)
