* Essential Job Functions:

**

• Prepare bakery and deli items according to customer requests using proper equipment.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or inquire about products.
• Inform customers of bakery and/or deli specials.
• Provide customers with fresh products and correct portion sizes to prevent shrinkage.
• Recommend products to customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Use bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens according to guidelines.
• Prepare foods following safety and cooking instructions.
• Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients per recipes using kitchen utensils and equipment.
• Package, label, and inventory ingredients and merchandise.
• Check product quality, review "sell by" dates, and take appropriate actions.
• Maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers, and keep logs.
• Stock and label merchandise, report discrepancies, and maintain inventory.
• Understand store layout and assist customers in locating products.
• Stay updated on current and upcoming promotions and product knowledge.
• Ensure safety and sanitation standards are met; report unsafe conditions or accidents.
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment, manage conflicts, and act with integrity.
• Support and assist diverse customer needs, including minors, individuals with disabilities, and seniors.

* Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Customer service skills
• Effective communication skills
• Basic math knowledge
• Ability to obtain a food handler’s permit upon employment
