Operator NatureSafe - 2nd Shift

Job Summary

The Operator is responsible for aiding in the operation of the process equipment, machinery, evaluation of any process problems, and performing product quality testing.

• Maintain steady flow of material throughout the facility.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas.
• Unload bulk and toted ingredients.
• Load finished products on bulk, van, and flatbed trailers.
• Perform periodic preventative maintenance on some equipment in process.
• Monitor machinery and product flow; bring all problems to attention of manager.
• Participate in facility housekeeping program.
• Maintains safety as top priority in accordance with all company safety rules and regulations.

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma/GED.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing manufacturing environment.
• One year of manufacturing, industrial, or agricultural experience preferred.

• Good mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting; skilled in general mechanics and safe operation of equipment.
• Previous experience with feed mill/pellet mill.
• Basic computer skills.

• Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch.
• Frequently must push, pull, move or lift up to 50 lbs.
• Regularly required reach with hands and arms.
• Occasionally work at heights.

Job functions will be carried out in a facility which requires tolerance for wet and/or slippery floors, and high heat and/or cold temperatures.
