Position-Keno Manager

Full-time Exempt

Big Red Keno in Fremont, NE has an opening for a Keno Manager. The Keno Manager manages all activities related to keno operations at the Keno Parlor by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Responsible for all opening and closing keno procedures.
  • Authorizes the payout of wins, including all IRS wins of $1500 or more.
  • Occasionally handles all incoming telephone calls from customers and employees and dispatches accordingly.
  • Prepares various computer and written reports daily.
  • Occasionally balances main bank at the beginning and end of each shift.
  • Responsible for the sales and inventory of all pickle cards.
  • Responsible for determining security access for company alarm and security systems.
  • Responsible for ordering all supplies related to the operation of the keno game.
  • Occasionally verifies and prepares each keno writer's deposit for daily pick-up by armored car.
  • Occasionally responsible for running each keno game on a timely basis.
  • Occasionally receives, verifies, and records cash wagers of customers.
  • Occasionally starts gaming equipment that randomly selects numbered balls.
  • Occasionally scans winning tickets presented by customers and pays customers.
  • Directly supervises 10 to 20 employees, responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
