Summary

We are seeking to add a motivated and customer-focused Part-Time Housekeeper to join our property management team. The Housekeeper will be responsible for assisting in keeping the common spaces of the mall clean and sanitary for guests.

Responsibilities
  • Mop up spills and place a wet floor sign over the area until floor is dry
  • Pickup or sweep up paper etc. inside and outside mall
  • Clean or dust sign holders and ledges
  • Clean tops and sides of trash cans
  • Check and empty trash cans throughout the mall when contents reach half full
  • Remove gum and other foreign substances from floors and pavement
  • Return strollers, shopping carts and wheelchairs back to the area where they belong
  • Clean bricks and walls when needed
  • Check for cobwebs and remove
  • Check bathrooms every ½ hour for the following:
    • Spills & paper
    • See if toilet, vanity, and urinals need to be cleaned or unplugged
    • Replace toilet paper or hand towels if necessary.
    • See if mirrors need cleaning
    • Replace soaps and air freshener canisters when emptied
  • Unlock entrance doors on Sunday, if scheduled, for store personnel to enter the building
  • Spot clean door glass, thresholds, and dust window and door frames at the mall entrance
  • Sift / empty smoking urns
  • Vacuum entrance mats when needed
  • Put up and take down outdoor flags
  • Help with snow removal when needed
  • Vacuum carpet and empty trash cans in the office area and break room
  • Sweep or mop break room, service hallway, and store room when needed

    Ability to get along with others and maintain a positive attitude
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently sometimes, but also is able to take and follow directions
Qualifications
  • Prior experience in Housekeeping or Janitorial is a plus, but not required
