Housekeeping Associate

This 32-hour-per-week position is full-time benefit eligible and offers a consistent daytime schedule (6:00/7:00am - 2:30pm) with an every-other-weekend rotation. As a housekeeping associate, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors. Your work directly supports the health and well-being of everyone in our nursing home, ensuring compliance with sanitation and infection control standards.

Cleaning and Sanitation:

• Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in resident rooms, common areas, restrooms, and offices.
• Disinfect high-touch surfaces and equipment to prevent the spread of infection.
• Dispose of trash and hazardous waste in accordance with facility policies and safety regulations.

Compliance and Safety:

• Follow established infection control and safety procedures.
• Report maintenance or safety concerns to the supervisor promptly.

Resident Interaction:

• Respond courteously to resident and staff requests for housekeeping services.
• Respect residents' privacy and personal belongings while performing duties.

Team

Collaboration:

• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a clean and comfortable living environment.
• Assist with special cleaning projects or emergency cleaning needs as required.

Skills and attributes:

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Good time management and organizational skills.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
