Job SummaryAs a housekeeping associate, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors. Your work directly supports the health and well-being of everyone in our nursing home, ensuring compliance with sanitation and infection control standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesCleaning and Sanitation:
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in resident rooms, common areas, restrooms, and offices.
- Disinfect high-touch surfaces and equipment to prevent the spread of infection.
- Dispose of trash and hazardous waste in accordance with facility policies and safety regulations.
Compliance and Safety:
- Follow established infection control and safety procedures.
- Report maintenance or safety concerns to the supervisor promptly.
Resident Interaction:
- Respond courteously to resident and staff requests for housekeeping services.
- Respect residents' privacy and personal belongings while performing duties.
Team
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a clean and comfortable living environment.
- Assist with special cleaning projects or emergency cleaning needs as required.
Skills and attributes:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
