Qualifications- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Nebraska Driver’s License
- Basic Life Support Certification
- EVOC or equivalent certification (can be obtained through Ameri Pro EMS)
- Respond to all calls for service dispatched from the Ameri Pro EMS and/or County communications center as directed.
- Assist partner with moving and assisting of patients.
- Ensure ambulance and all equipment are cleaned and checked daily; report deficiencies to shift supervisor or Director of Operations.
- Prepare and complete reports including Patient Care Reports (PCR), billing, exposure reports, incident reports, and unit check-offs.
- Ensure unit and crew members adhere to Ameri Pro EMS policies, procedures, guidelines, directives and standards; report any deficiencies.
- Ensure vehicles placed in-service comply with applicable laws and regulations.
- Maintain prompt and regular attendance and a state of readiness and professionalism on duty.
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct while in company uniform on or off duty.
- Perform other duties as required.

Summary
Ensures compliance with all State of Nebraska EMS rules and regulations. Checks and maintains ambulance equipment and vehicle to ensure it is clean and in proper working condition. Maintains required licenses and certifications for an EMR position. Must hold a valid state Driver’s License for Nebraska. Attends mandatory training in addition to EMR requirements. Follows all company policies and procedures including medical director approved protocols and standing orders.
Six-month introductory probationary period.

- Knowledge of emergency medical service methods and techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret local maps.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
- Ability to use computer systems, including PCR reporting and MDT applications.
- Ability to represent Ameri Pro EMS professionally.
Regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; speak and hear. Frequently stand and walk; occasionally sit, climb, or balance. May lift and move up to 180 pounds frequently and up to 300 pounds with assistance. Vision requirements include close, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Working EnvironmentEMS work may involve exposure to inclement weather, hazardous conditions, psychological stress, diseases, and other illnesses. Frequent interruptions and irregular schedules are expected. Occasional overtime or after-hours meetings may occur.
