Adjunct - Nursing Faculty

Overview

Midland University, a private, liberal-arts college in Fremont, Nebraska (just outside of metro Omaha), is seeking an exceptional clinical adjunct faculty member to teach in Critical Care clinicals in the School of Nursing.

• Collaborate with nursing course faculty
• Coordinate with hospital staff to prepare clinical assignments for a group of 6-8 students in a critical care hospital setting in Omaha
• Document clinical feedback
• Grade clinical assignments
• Conduct student final clinical evaluations
• Respond to student inquiries
• Meet with students individually as needed

• Unencumbered Registered Nurse License in the state of Nebraska or Iowa
• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or enrollment in a Master's or Doctoral program in Nursing
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in Critical Care
• Ability to meet clinical agency requirements, such as a background check, abuse check, drug testing, CPR, immunizations, health care insurance, etc.
• Ability to create relevant learning opportunities in the clinical setting that meet professional expectations and standards

• Previous teaching experience in Nursing
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
• The ability to foster a positive work culture that encourages change and innovation

• Wages paid on a per-course basis commensurate with education, experience, and individual strengths
