The Tesla Insurance Claims Application team is seeking a Backend Software Engineer to contribute to the development of our Web App. These products are part of Tesla’s advanced platforms for managing Service workflow for Vehicle Insurance Claims and Energy products. The person will be responsible for building and maintaining full‑stack applications that support various service use cases. User interfaces are built with Angular, React, and Type Script and are powered by highly‑performant backend distributed systems.

The engineer will work closely with end users, focus on extensible design systems, and obsess over open‑source quality solutions to create scalable applications.

• Contribute to the complete software development lifecycle for applications, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time and meet high‑quality standards.
• Design, develop, and maintain full‑stack web applications using C#.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including product managers, service engineers, and other software engineers—to define and implement features that enhance operational efficiency for our customers.
• Ensure that web applications integrate seamlessly with backend distributed systems and support real‑time monitoring, control, and reporting.
• Contribute to the definition and implementation of extensible design systems that prioritize scalability, maintainability, and exceptional user experiences.
• Implement rigorous testing strategies—including unit, integration, and end‑to‑end testing—to guarantee the reliability and performance of applications under various conditions.
• Actively maintain and promote the core team values of engineering excellence, curiosity, a bias for action, self‑awareness, inclusivity, and vulnerability to contribute to a positive and productive culture.
• Drive initiatives from concept to completion, from defining the business need with product experts to conducting user interviews and culminating in feature implementation.

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience as a Software Engineer focused on delivering user‑centric web applications using C#/.NET. Angular/React and Type Script experience is a plus.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with a focus on delivering robust, reliable, and efficient solutions that meet customer needs and drive operational excellence.
• Enthusiasm for staying at the forefront of technology trends and a commitment to continuous learning, particularly in renewable energy and sustainable technologies.
