Job Description
- Manufacturing Facilities Technician Electrical – LV (low voltage) mostly.
- They most also need to reconnect electrical to a motor as well.
- VFD’s – Variable Frequency Drives. All motors have a frequency from 0 à 100% so they need to know what the optimum frequency or power level should be, how to monitor or make adjustments to that.
- Boilers/Chillers (cooling towers). Must be able to diagnose the issue and create a recovery plan, contact the vendor and monitor the outcome to bring it back up to working condition.
- Roof Maintenance. Be familiar with and able to do PM’s on air handlers and exhaust fans, and have fundamental and hands‑on experience with HVAC.
- Plumbing. Knowledge and hands‑on experience with basic plumbing – everything from sinks and toilets, to chillers and condensers, and RO/DI water systems.
- Building Management System (BMS).
- I am not looking for anyone who has worked as a handyman or in residential facilities (apartments, condos, HOA’s). We really need someone who has worked in high‑tech or a manufacturing environment. These people typically come from WD, Tesla, Google, Meta, Micron, CBRE, Analog Devices, AMAT – companies like that.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and systems.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
- Conduct inspections to identify potential problems and address them proactively.
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operation of the facility.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including high and low voltage wiring.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics and blueprints.
- Experience with mechanical systems, including hydraulics and logic controllers.
- Welding experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with CMMS.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair facility equipment.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
$30.00 – $42.00 per hour
Expected Hours40 – 60 hours per week
