Central Veterinary Hospital is a well-established veterinary general practice located in the Bay Area. We are searching for a full-time Veterinary Assistant to join our team in Fremont, CA!

We’re offering a competitive hourly rate of $20 - 25 per hour based on experience, along with training/career growth potential and comprehensive benefits.

Training Schedule: Monday, Thursday, Friday 10:30 am - 7:00 pm and Tuesday/Wednesday 10:00 am - 6:30 pm

Schedule:Monday, Thursday, Friday 11:00 am - 7:30 pm and Tuesday/Wednesday 10:00 am - 6:30 pm

• Please note that the schedule varies due to the clinic's operating hours

We are looking for compassionate, motivated team players who are committed to excellent client service and interested in the field. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are eager to learn and are ready to enhance their veterinary careers!

You’d be a great fit if you have experience with:

• Surgical Assisting
• Drawing and running blood work
• X-rays and proper positioning
• Proper animal handling and restraint
• Client Education

Your primary responsibilities:

• Adhering to hospital standards that keep pets safe, and the treatment areas, and exam rooms clean and organized
• Support Client Services Representatives
• Understanding the importance ofclient education
• Assisting the Registered Veterinary Technicians and Veterinarians in daily tasks
• Assisting with catheter placement and blood draws
• Assisting with X-rays with proper positioning
• Set up for minor procedures
• Assist in restraint for minor procedures and exams
• Maintenance of laundry and surgical instruments
• Surgery prep and monitoring
• Ability to properly restrain animals and lift up to 40 pounds
