Overview
Mission Valley Veterinary Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician to become the next member of our team. Located in central Fremont, just across the creek from Vallejo Mill Historical Park and flanked by rolling hills, our hospital blends high-quality medicine with a warm, community-centered atmosphere. Our support staff is close-knit, long tenured, and committed to mentorship and collaboration. Alongside dogs and cats, our doctors treat pocket pets and birds, making this an excellent opportunity for technicians who enjoy working with a diverse range of species.
In this role, you will prepare patients for surgery, monitor anesthesia, perform dental prophies, and provide clear and compassionate client education. This position is ideal for someone with a passion for a variety of species, who wants to utilize their full skill set in both outpatient and surgical settings while contributing to a supportive, team-oriented environment.
ScheduleThis is a full-time position with 8-hour shifts and availability needed Monday through Friday and rotating Saturdays.
Full-time benefits and compensation- Compensation: $35-38 per hour, for each hour worked*
- Bonus package: $2000
- CE allowance: up to $1,000 annually based on tenure

- 3+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
- Current Registered Veterinary Technician license in the state of California
- Proficiency in the following skills:
- Venipuncture and cystocentesis
- Placing IV catheters and administering injections
- Anesthetic induction and monitoring
- Dental charting, prophy, polishing and radiographs
- Pocket pet and avian handling experience is highly desired
