We are looking for a
** Welder
* * to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies. This role will report to the
** Manufacturing Supervisor
** and is based in
** Fremont, CA.
** This is a fully on-site, in office role.
* Prolonged periods of standing and performing repetitive tasks
* Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. at a time.
* Must have manual dexterity in order to assemble products as directed.
* Must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
* Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
* Could be required to wear a respirator and pass a Fit test.and based in Fremont, CA. This is a fully on-site, in office role.

* Role and Responsibilities:

*** Read and interpret Work Instruction’s to determine specific welding requirements
* Weld horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions
* Position and clamps parts together in fixtures
* Accurately count all pieces to ensure quality control of parts prior to welding
* Operate welding equipment according to operating manual
* Complete required paperwork in a correct and timely manner
* Operate hoist and power lift stand
* Load and unload jigs
* Perform leak testing checks on finished welding products
* Follow Standard Operating Procedures and/or Work Instructions exactly as written to produce a quality product
* Fabricate components for use in a solid oxide fuel cell electrical power generator
* Maintain all machine shop equipment and 5S upkeep
* Notify management of shop consumables (i.e. cutting oils, welding gasses, tooling and bits, etc.) in order to maintain inventories
* Create assembly and fabrication fixtures
* Address and recommend improved methods for creating hardware and assemblies
* Perform basic job functions as directed safely and efficiently
* Perform other duties as assigned
*
* Skills and Experience:

*** High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
* 1 year required experience in TIG Welding preferred
* 2-3 years working experience preferred where hands on manufacturing practices were required
* Required experience in following required work instructions
* Preferred valid certificate in Welding from an accredited institution
* Must have mechanical skills and able to use basic shop tools and equipment
