Tool Maker

Description

The Injection Molding Tool Maker performs repairs and major maintenance on all injection molds and fixtures used in the operation of the manufacturing facility

Salary Range: $31.25-$36.06

• Ensures that molds are cleaned greased and serviced correctly to be prepared for next production run.
• Troubleshoot molds to include hydraulics, electrical, pneumatics, and mechanical fixes
• Inspects and evaluates wearing, damage or abnormal condition in molds and determines repair actions
• Performs high precision machining on manual Mills, lathes, surface grinders and EDMs.
• Utilize precision measurement techniques using microscope, micrometers, calipers, comparator, gage blocks and indicators
• Maintains proper housekeeping of his work areas
• Maintains records for tooling repairs, service and maintenance per established procedures
• Coordinates shipping of components and molds with vendors when outsourced.
• Adheres to good manufacturing practices and safety guidelines
• Follow schedule for work shifts, meetings, time off, overtime, and break

• High School diploma or college degree
• Mechanical skills
• Detailed and organized
• knowledge of mechanics, electricity, pneumatic, hydraulics

• 6+ years in injection molding environment
• Experience in CAD software (Solid works) preferred

We offer market competitive compensation. Potential salary range for this role is $31.25hr-$36.06hr. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law
