Job Description
The Machinist role in Fremont, CA involves performing basic set‑ups and operating machines across multiple areas, including Large Diameter, Saw, Buffing and Polishing, and DI Wash. The position requires operating complex equipment safely, ensuring precision and adherence to quality standards, and following proper PPE protocols. The Machinist will maintain accurate documentation and may work in a cleanroom environment. Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of manufacturing experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
SpecificJob Duties
- Perform basic set‑ups and operate machines in more than one assigned area
- Operate complex equipment and machines safely and efficiently
- Fit, align, and adjust machines or assemblies to meet tolerances and product operating requirements
- Work from schedules, shop orders, established procedures, blueprints, and specifications
- Identify deviations that can potentially interrupt productivity
- Operate air and electric drivers, ultrasonic wash equipment
- Properly use required PPE (coveralls, boots, hairnets/head covers/face shields, gloves, etc.)
- May work in a cleanroom environment all or part of the shift
- Maintain logs and other necessary documentation
- Work under direct supervision with ability to recognize deviations from accepted practices
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow established procedures and safety guidelines
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to operate a variety of machines
- Basic understanding of mechanics, flow control elements, and MRP concepts
- Visual acuity and manual dexterity
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience with Oracle a plus
- 2–4 years manufacturing or related work experience
The pay range for this position is $24.09 – $40.96 per hour, nonexempt. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job‑related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure, and relevant education or training. The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs.
