Our client, a leader in autonomous vehicles, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Engineering Technician to join their dynamic team. As a Quality Engineering Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of product quality, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring manufacturing excellence. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a proactive approach to quality management, which will align successfully within the organization.
Job Title: Quality Engineering Technician
Location: Fremont, CA or Lathrop, CA
Pay Range: $40/hour
What's the Job?- Evaluate parts produced on various production lines, including electro‑mechanical components, subassemblies, and final assemblies, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Flag suspect or nonconforming production parts, remove them from the line, and support engineering with containment activities to meet company standards.
- Lead the organization and completion of quality trials, collaborating with Quality Engineers and supporting new line validations.
- Create and maintain quality instruction documents to ensure clarity and consistency in processes.
- Assist in identifying and resolving manufacturing quality issues, including sorting parts and supporting root cause analysis efforts.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with quality systems in a high‑volume manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of quality tools such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA, DFMEA, PFMEA is preferred.
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing practices, 5S, TPS, TQM, GD&T, and electronic test and measurement systems is highly desirable.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment, pulling and manipulating data, and escalating issues appropriately.
