PositionManufacturing Technician – Second Shift (10:00 am‑6:30 pm)
Work ScheduleThis position is for the following days:
Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.
- Minimal supervision is provided over the weekend; candidates must demonstrate experience working independently and making sound decisions in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues autonomously, escalating only when necessary.
- Strong organizational skills and self‑motivation are essential to maintain productivity and quality standards during off‑hours.
- Effective communication skills to provide regular updates and document activities for review by weekday supervisors.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement, even when working independently.
- Perform filling and sealing of components using manual and automated equipment.
- Package finished products and perform labeling for filling and kit assembly.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure products meet specifications.
- Support other manufacturing activities as required, such as simple buffers and reagents formulation.
- Maintain organized production areas and labs.
- Track manufacturing supplies and consumables inventory.
- Participate in laboratory maintenance, including general cleaning of facility, cleaning of labware, and routine laboratory housekeeping.
- Comply with all work instructions under the Quality System.
- Adhere to laboratory safe practices and maintain a safe working environment.
- Provide clear documentation performed and communicate any issues or deviations to management.
- Take initiative to identify and implement process improvements during independent shifts.
- Support quarterly cycle count to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Associate’s degree in a scientific field with a minimum of two years of relevant industry experience, or a high school diploma with equivalent experience.
- Experience in reagent filling and packaging of kit reagents under Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) in a regulated industry (highly preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to follow established procedures and maintain detailed manufacturing records.
- Experience working independently with minimal supervision, especially during weekend or off‑hour shifts.
- Proven ability to make sound decisions and solve problems autonomously.
- Meticulous with a keen eye for detail.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong team player, self‑motivated, and willing to learn new techniques and concepts in a fast‑paced environment.
- Good time management skills.
- Previous experience with inventory management systems preferred.
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs. Position requires working in a standing position for long periods of time on a daily basis.
The base salary range for this full‑time position is $25/hour – $30/hour plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Salary ranges are determined by work location, job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
