Supply Chain Analyst, Glass, Trims & Seals

What To Expect

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Supply Chain Analyst to support our development teams and contract manufacturing partners in the sourcing of direct supply chain components and parts. These include Glass, Glass Trims and Seals parts related to our vehicles. This role will report to our Supply Chain Group Manager and in parallel be an active sourcing resource supporting our various Engineering groups within Tesla.

• Lead strategy development, source selection, and project management for Glass, Trims and Seals, Service and Prototyping sourcing requirements
• Support sourcing, contract administration and project management activities including PO issuance and monitoring, developing and maintaining action trackers, Gantt charts, and other program management tools related to on-time delivery of supplier parts against program timing
• Drive piece price and tooling negotiation process to ensure that Tesla’s commodity pricing met Best-In-Class expectations, while meeting Supplier Industrialization standards of Best-In-Class quality, in addition to driving continual cost reduction and avoidance initiatives through ad-hoc price negotiations
• Manage respective supplier relationships and performance, including but not limited to delivery performance, dispute resolution, supplier scorecards, and periodic business reviews
• Lead and support Continuous Improvement Activities
• Drive projects with the Supply Chain Optimization team to improve the sourcing, program management, reporting, and analytics processes in support of the team

• Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering or equivalent experience
• 1-3 years of experience in a direct procurement, planning, logistics or project management role
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in an extremely fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively cross functionally with various stakeholders including engineering, manufacturing, IT, finance, and planning functions
• Strong analytical with ability to use excel, tableau for advanced reporting. Familiar with cost breakdowns, should-cost models, & cost forecasts
• Willing and able to travel up to 25% of the time

$84,000 - $126,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
