Buyer II

The Buyer is responsible for planning and purchasing a set of commodities within the operation group. Through individual contributions, established procedures, and cross-functional influencing, the Buyer ensures all materials, services, and supplies are available as required. The Buyer selects suppliers, identifies and leads initiatives to reduce cost and improve service, while proactively resolving issues relating to their commodities. The Buyer will work closely with multiple departments, including Engineering, Production, Sales, and Warehouse to optimize Bizlink's supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

* Analyzes, maintains, and executes Materials Requirement Plan (MRP).

* Continuously monitors and verifies the material pipeline to ensure it meets the MRP requirements. Identifies and appropriately addresses materials supply issues.

* Ensures materials availability to support production per the Master Production Schedule through MRP execution, on-time delivery, and coordination of materials movement from receiving to production.

* Executes and maximizes Biz Link's negotiated terms with suppliers to reduce materials liability.

* Issues Purchase Orders to pricing, terms, and conditions negotiated and agreed to by Managers and Buyers.

* Ensures suppliers' adherence to established agreements.

* Identify, select, and negotiate with suppliers for CNC-machined parts, sheet metal components, PCB assemblies, and electronic components.

* Optimizes order management process to ensure effective communication with suppliers.

* Maintains the integrity of master data and purchasing planning parameters to minimize material liability and to balance the cost of procurement with inventory investment levels.

* Monitors and continuously improves suppliers' delivery and quality performance. Resolve recurring or critical issues by utilizing corrective action tools and additional resources.

* Provides inputs to drive and execute Biz Link's commodity and pricing strategy. Works closely with Buyers, Managers, & SCM. Provides feedback on supplier performance and Biz Link's strategies. Minimizes material freight expenses for Biz Link.

* Performs additional tasks as assigned by the manager.

Job Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Operations, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field.

* years of progressive procurement/purchasing experience with demonstrated vendor negotiation skills.

* APICS or ISM certification (e.g., CPIM, CPSM) preferred.

* Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

* Proficiency in supply chain management systems.
