Job Details
The IT Support Technician is a hands‑on, detail‑oriented professional responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer hardware and software. This role requires deep technical expertise in Windows operating systems and Dell products, along with a strong grasp of cybersecurity principles. The Technician works independently to meet project deadlines while ensuring systems are secure and well‑documented.
Responsibilities- Operating System Management:
Perform clean installations, upgrades, and migrations across multiple Windows versions (XP, 7, 10, 11). - Technical Support:
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues for end‑users, including driver updates and component replacement. - Dell System Restoration:
Serve as the subject matter expert for Dell products, specifically utilizing the Dell OS Recovery II tool for re‑imaging and data recovery. - Security & Maintenance:
Implement cybersecurity best practices, manage user accounts, and ensure antivirus software is functional and updated. - Inventory & Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of hardware inventory, system configurations, and software licenses. - Project
Collaboration:
Work within a project‑based team to meet specific goals, providing regular progress updates to the project lead. - Physical Ability:
Lift and move equipment up to 25 lbs and sit or stand for extended periods.
- OS Proficiency:
Proven experience configuring Windows XP, 7, 10, and 11 on desktops and laptops. - Hardware Expertise:
Strong hands‑on knowledge of Dell hardware, including troubleshooting and component‑level repairs. - Tool Mastery:
Extensive experience with the Dell OS Recovery II tool. - Cybersecurity:
Foundational knowledge of security principles and protective best practices. - Professional
Skills:
Excellent diagnostic abilities, strong communication skills, and the capacity to work with minimal supervision.
4–7 years
Qualifications- OS Proficiency:
