Position Summary:
We are seeking an IT and Cyber Security Manager who will lead the IT and Cyber Security department at Specialized Coating Services LLC. This role leads the company’s CMMC compliance initiative for NIST 800-171, maintains compliance with ITAR and related cybersecurity requirements, supports key compliance projects, and coordinates with external assessors, consultants, and stakeholders. Regularly assesses control adequacy and maintains documentation of testing events and system setup.
The role is based in Fremont, CA and may require travel to Billerica, MA; site travel is expected about 5-10% of the time.
- Lead and manage IT and Cyber Security initiatives, including development and maintenance of SSP, POA&M, and change management plans.
- Coordinate with external assessors, supporting consultants, and company stakeholders.
- Oversee selection of new equipment to support compliance initiatives and the buildout of the new server room.
- Maintain documentation of the system setup and regularly assess control adequacy with testing events.
- Stay aware of evolving regulatory requirements from CMMC, DoD, and the industry.
- Self-starter with the ability to self-perform and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to evaluate and manage outsourced MIS and Cybersecurity compliance partners.

- Understanding of Zero Trust Architecture, endpoint security, and SIEM tools
- Knowledge of secure cloud environments (e.g., Microsoft GCC High, Azure Gov Cloud)
- CISSP, CISM, CISA or CMMC Certified Professional (CCP/CCA)
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field
- Master's degree or equivalent experience in IT governance or security is a plus
