Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – School-Based
Immediate Need | In-Person Preferred

- Now through End of School Year
- 37.5 hours/week
- Urgent Hiring Need
Actively seeking 4 experienced Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to support schools through the remainder of the school year. The district is currently behind on service minutes and is prioritizing in-person SLPs
, though virtual candidates will be considered if they meet all requirements.
This is an opportunity for seasoned California SLPs who can hit the ground running in a fast-paced, diverse school environment.
Schedule & Compensation- Hours:
37.5 hours per week - Local Pay Rate: $75/HR
- Provide speech-language services to a diverse student population
- Support schools currently behind on service minutes
- Manage therapy, documentation, and assessments as assigned
- Collaborate with school teams and special education staff
- Ability to step in quickly with minimal ramp-up time
- Active California CTC SLP Credential (required – non-negotiable)
- Must reside in California (Livescan required by Fremont USD)
- Prior experience working in California schools
- Experience serving diverse student populations
- SEIS experience required
- Prior virtual SLP experience required (for virtual consideration)
- Ability to manage high-need caseloads efficiently
- The district will not consider SLPs without prior CA school experience.
- SLPAs are also being considered, though SLPs and in-person candidates are strongly prioritized
