Communications Operator - Per Diem - shifts

Pay Range

$32.98 - $40.74 plus applicable per diem differential

• Records all long-distance calls made through the operator.
• Maintains patient restricted call list.
• Maintains Medical Staff list of office phone numbers and addresses.
• Maintains proper level of supplies.
• Ensures that all requests for maintenance and service are phoned into vendor within 15 minutes of receipt.
• Ensures that response to caller is appropriate to age and needs of individual caller 100% of the time.
• Monitors and reports alerts for alarm boxes and medical panels located in the PBX area.
• Maintains and monitors multiple doctors On-Call Lists.
• Makes sure all departmental and hospital documentation is up to date.
• Provides connections to police, ambulance or fire department when emergencies are reported.
• Reports all maintenance problems to service vendor; arranges for routine service calls.
• Live Sign Language Interpreters – contacts vendor, sets up appointment time and date for onsite patient visit. Documents data for tracking.
