Senior Technical Program Manager – Hardware & Vehicle Systems

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Technical Program Manager – Hardware & Vehicle Systems to drive mechanical and hardware programs across Pebble. In this role, you will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure the successful development, integration, and launch of our groundbreaking electric vehicles. The role will focus on mechanical systems, hardware development, and vehicle integration while working closely with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and other key stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Lead end‑to‑end hardware program management, overseeing development, integration, validation, and launch of vehicle mechanical systems, subsystems, and components.
  • Collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, and supplier engineering teams to align project goals, ensure clear communication, and drive execution from concept through production.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, BOM management, and resource allocation, to ensure successful hardware program execution across all design and build phases.
  • Establish clear program milestones and deliverables— including prototype builds, design reviews (PDR, CDR), DVT/PVT gates, and SOP targets—tracking progress and adjusting plans as necessary to ensure timely achievement of goals.
  • Identify potential risks and roadblocks across tooling, supplier readiness, and component qualification; devise mitigation strategies and proactively address challenges to minimize disruptions and delays.
  • Drive and facilitate data‑driven decision‑making with cross‑functional stakeholders, including engineering trade studies, DFM/DFA analyses, and design validation results.
  • Effectively communicate program updates, status reports, and technical details to internal and external stakeholders, fostering transparency and alignment across hardware and vehicle integration teams.
  • Drive continuous process improvement within the teams, seeking opportunities to reduce friction, improve efficiency, and increase predictability of hardware build and validation cycles.
  • Monitor program budgets and tooling expenditures, making strategic decisions to optimize resource allocation, capital efficiency, and cost targets.
Qualifications
  • 5–15 years of technical program management experience in automotive/EV, consumer hardware, or related vehicle/mechanical product development.
  • Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong experience managing hardware development programs through structured phase gates, including prototype builds, DVT, PVT, and SOP.
  • Proven ability to track hardware deliverables, identify blockers in tooling or supplier pipelines, and manage component qualification in high‑volume manufacturing environments.
  • Expertise in mechanical‑electrical integration and the ability to translate complex system requirements into clear, actionable engineering tasks.
  • End‑to‑end hardware program management experience with a track record of bringing physical products to production, preferably in automotive, EV, or mobility applications.
  • Proficiency in PLM tools (e.g., Teamcenter, Arena), program management platforms, and engineering change management processes.
  • Familiarity with GD&T, tolerance analysis, FEA/simulation outputs, and supplier APQP/PPAP processes (not required to perform analyses but able to engage meaningfully with engineers).
  • Excellent communication, cross‑functional collaboration, and adaptability in a fast‑paced startup environment.
  • Experience with chassis, powertrain, body structures, thermal systems, or vehicle dynamics is a strong plus.
  • RV or recreational vehicle experience is a bonus, not required.
