Epitaxy Process Technician, Raxium

Minimum qualifications

• Associate degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent industry experience.
• 3 years of experience in Epitaxy semiconductor/wafer processing.
• Experience in operations and working with metrology tools and measurements.

• 3 years of experience in semiconductor processing, specifically in epitaxial crystal growth.
• Experience in daily operation of an epitaxial deposition chamber.
• Experience with Aixtron, Veeco, or TNSC reactor.
• Knowledge of SPC and general process control.

Google Raxium is seeking an Epitaxy Process Technician to support engineering process development in pursuit of compound semiconductor processes and to meet our milestones.

In this role, you will have a track record of productivity and attention to detail. Your position will involve collaboration with cross‑functional/cross‑company teams in support of our goals. You will require experience in III‑V epitaxy, and must be open to learning other process disciplines as the company grows.

You will have the ability to work a compressed shift, day schedule.

Google's Raxium display group has established a revolutionary semiconductor materials display technology that enables new functionality in display products, bringing to users a closer and more natural linkage between the digital and physical realms in applications such as augmented reality (AR) and light‑field display. With start‑up roots and a state‑of‑the‑art compound semiconductor fab in Silicon Valley, Raxium is seeking to build upon its engineering team with an aim to disrupt next‑generation display markets.

The US base salary range for this full‑time position is $87,000‑$125,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. • Perform all functions associated with epitaxial growth such as process equipment operation, material characterization, and process monitoring.
• Collect process data to support development and operations.
• Work with engineers to conduct tests and experiments that support process improvement or process development.
• Perform transactions in MES for tracking wafers in the process through the Epi area.
• Perform set‑up, calibration, and minor routine preventative maintenance.
