Senior Network Engineer

Duties/Responsibilities

The Quanta Manufacturing Fremont (QMF) Network Engineering team is responsible for architecting, building, automating, and managing our Network Infrastructure at our campus in Fremont, CA and our public cloud providers.

• Implement, and maintain various network infrastructures, focusing on scalability, reliability, and security.
• Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations.
• Monitor network performance, ensure system availability and reliability, and provide network optimization recommendations.
• Troubleshoot network problems, outages, and ensure rapid resolution of network incidents.
• Document network configuration and operational procedures.
• Establish & maintain healthy working relationships with all technology departments
• Be viewed as a knowledgeable and reliable technical resource across all network technologies.
• Ensure the business understands our service portfolio by translating technical solutions into simple to understandable dialogue
• Manage and support Public Clouds associated security and network services like PAN, Firewall, etc.

• 5+ Years’ experience with Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto Networks and/or Fortinet technology
• Troubleshooting and responding to network outages
• Understanding of Enterprise Network design, including Data Center, Campus, Public Cloud, and Global WAN connectivity.
• Understanding of IPv4/IPv6, BGP/MBGP, OSPF, VPN, LAN, and L2 switching
• Proficient in AWS and Azure Public Cloud platforms.
• Azure VWAN, VNET + Peering, VPN, Firewall, and NSG
• Palo Alto Networks Prisma Access, Global Protect, and Virtual Firewall

• Bachelor s Degree in IT-related field
• CCNA

• Ability to walk and stand on cement floors for long periods.
• Ability to stand, stoop, bend and performing repetitive tasks.
• Must be able to lift to 30 pounds at a time.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
